PLANNING COMMISSION

The Planning Commission reviews all Subdivision, Land Development and Conditional Use applications prior to review/action by the Board of Supervisors.

The members regularly review the Township’s ordinances on Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development to determine if updates are needed, then prepare and submit proposed Amendments to the Board of Supervisors.  The Greene Township Planning Commission members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve 3-year terms and act as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors.

Applications for plan review must be submitted to the Township Secretary at least 15 days prior to the Commission meeting to be placed on the Agenda.

5-10 YEAR STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE

Currently, members are involved in a 5-10 year Strategic Plan that will lay out the planning for the future development of our own Township.  Some topics discussed are  budget spending, future possible development, parks and recreation, and water. If you are interested in either keeping our Township “just the way it is”, or in shaping it’s look in the future, please call the township office or attend any of the 5-10 year meetings on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm.

All meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome as we plan for our community’s controlled growth, and monitor the development of Greene Township.
