Greene Township Community Benefits

For information on upcoming fundraisers & food donation dates, click here.

The Community Benefit Committee provides monetary support to members of the community who have experienced financial hardship through fundraisers, donations and soup and pie sales. We are also committed to providing monetary aid to the Hookstown Volunteer Fire Department with proceeds from local square dances (schedule to come soon) and various fundraising events.

We’ve recently recognized a need for food distribution in our area.

On days of food distribution we accept donated food from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. We also accept gift cards and monetary donations to help those in need of food pantry items.

Food distribution is 3:00 – 7:00 pm.

Any family with a need should visit South Side Area School lower parking lot, door 2-3 between 3:00 – 7:00 pm.

Food pantry questions can be directed to 724-350-7768.

Anyone interested in volunteering for an event or donating an item for the food pantry or auction, please contact:

The Benefit Committee sends a heart felt THANK YOU to all residents of Greene Township and all surrounding communities for supporting our fundraisers. Hundreds of people attend these functions that benefit our dear friends and neighbors. Since 2014 we have raised over $200,000. This would be impossible without the help of those that donate, whether it be baskets for auction or attending the fundraiser to show your support. 💚
