The Planning Commission reviews all Subdivision, Land Development and Conditional Use applications prior to review/action by the Board of Supervisors.
The members regularly review the Township’s ordinances on Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development to determine if updates are needed, then prepare and submit proposed Amendments to the Board of Supervisors. The Greene Township Planning Commission members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to serve 3-year terms and act as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors.
Applications for plan review must be submitted to the Township Secretary at least 7 days prior to the Commission meeting to be placed on the Agenda.

Currently, members are involved in developing a 5-10 year Strategic Plan that will lay out the planning for the future development of our own Township. Some topics to be discussed are budget spending, future possible development, parks and recreation, and water. Interested residents are being sought to create committees to further explore some of these topics. If you are interested in either keeping our Township “just the way it is”, or in shaping it’s look in the future, please call the township office or attend any of the 5-10 year meetings on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm.
All meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome as we plan for our community’s controlled growth, and monitor the development of Greene Township.
Planning Commission Meetings are held at the Township Meeting Room on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 PM
